Jackson Healthcare appoints new exec

Jackson Healthcare, an Atlanta-based healthcare staffing provider, appointed Jennifer Dangar as chief of corporate operations.

In the newly created senior executive role, Dangar oversees the company’s resource teams.

Dangar has more than 20 years of senior leadership experience. She most recently was chief strategy officer and president of distribution for The Weather Company. She has held leadership positions at various television content companies, including Discovery Communications, Turner Broadcasting and C-Span. Dangar also was chair of the national board of Women in Cable Telecommunications and held leadership positions on various telecom industry boards.

“I am honored that a leader of Jennifer’s caliber would choose to come work alongside the associates of Jackson Healthcare,” said President R. Shane Jackson. “She is coming into a critical leadership role for us as we navigate tremendous growth.”

Separately, Jackson Healthcare announced former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in May returned to the company’s board of advisors.

Bush, who initially joined the board in 2013, previously suspended his campaign for president in 2016.

Bush was elected as Florida’s governor in 1998 and served for two terms; he is also the brother of former President George W. Bush.

“I am proud to serve with a company that puts the doctor-patient relationship first," Bush said.

Bush is the head of Jeb Bush and Associates, a consulting firm that works with a range of companies.

Jackson Healthcare ranks fourth on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2015 list largest healthcare staffing firms in the US.
