World – Randstad announces €120 million cost savings plan by 2021

03 December 2019

Staffing giant Randstad provided an update on the progress and results of digital initiatives, long-term strategy, and on how the company aims to secure competitive and profitable organic sales growth.

During its analyst seminar today, Randstad said it will look to identify €120 million in cost savings by 2021. The company said the savings will primarily relate to productivity gains and general benchmarking while being selectively invested in strategic initiatives.

Randstad also said trading conditions in October and November were broadly in line with the third quarter of 2019, and that it will continue to protect its earnings before interest, taxes and amortization margin, year-on-year, for 2019.

Furthermore, Randstad said its ambition is to gain further market share, driven by its digital initiatives and differentiating long-term strategy.

The company said it sees major growth opportunities in the Enterprise segment, supporting large multinational accounts in their total talent journey.

“These clients will benefit from Randstad’s increasing and unique access to relevant data and local labour market knowledge,” the company stated. “At the same time, Randstad provides its talents with increasingly data-driven support throughout their working lives. This is captured in the Human Forward promises, which will fuel the Randstad brand on the journey towards its ultimate goal: to touch the work lives of 500 million people worldwide by 2030.”
