Computer security firm McAfee reported on Wednesday that it discovered a malware campaign masked as legitimate job recruitment activity. The find was announced in a blog post.

McAfee named the campaign “Operation Sharpshooter” and said it has implanted malware to send back information from victims’ computers. It has appeared in 87 organisations across the globe.

Banking Technology Magazine reported a majority of the attackes were aimed at defence and government-related organisations. And most of the organisations are English-speaking or have an English-speaking regional office.
