Staffing Industry Analysts’ Executive Forum Europe 2019 is underway today in London. Under the theme of Breakthrough Leadership, the two-day event provides insights and strategies to take the industry leadership to the next level.

In the opening keynote for today’s session ‘Leading Today and Leading Tomorrow’ John Nurthen, Executive Director, Global Research, Staffing Industry Analysts, spoke about the keys to staying ahead of changing trends in the workforceSolutions ecosystem. He added that it is important to look at the history of the staffing industry and “understand where we came from before we know where we are going.” The keynote explored the changing shape of the industry, the keys to success today and what it will take to be among the leaders in the future.

The keynote was followed by SIA’s facilitated roundtable discussions which included topics such as the upcoming IR35 changes, the UK staffing market and the impact of blockchain on staffing. SIA’s Executive Forum Europe also includes tracked break-out sessions and informal networking.

The first day of SIA’s Executive Forum concludes with a networking reception honouring the 2019 Staffing 100 Europe and the Global Power 150 Women—International 50. The later list has now been published online.

Tomorrow’s conference will kick off with concurrent sessions and will continue with an afternoon keynote ‘Using Creativity and Innovation to Lead in the Digital Age’ by guest speaker Ramon Vullings, a speaker, author, cross-industry expert and ‘ideaDJ’.

Vullings will discuss the importance of cross-over cooperation between silos and sectors. Using his own research and based on his experience at PwC Consulting and IBM Business Consulting Services, he will explain how effective collaborations and partnerships can help to find new solutions and help industry leaders bring their companies through the digital age.
