Zenith Energy, a Scottish well engineering consultancy and project management company, announced it has acquired Prodrill Energy Resource Solutions, an oil and gas recruitment firm based in Aberdeen, Scotland.

The price of the transaction was not disclosed.

Prodrill provides specialist recruitment support across eight key sectors including: drilling services, subsea, engineering, geoscience, completions/well services, decommission/plug & abandonment, operations & maintenance and management support.

According to the firm, it will be business as usual for Prodrill, with Louise Wood, previously managing director of Prodrill Engineering Limited, leading the existing team as Recruitment Director.

Wood and the Prodrill team will continue to be points of contact to ensure continuity with both clients and contractors, with re-location from the Albyn Terrace office in Aberdeen to Zenith Energy’s Bon Accord Square headquarters in Aberdeen in the near future.

On the acquisition, Wood said, “I am looking forward to joining forces with the Zenith Energy team, while continuing to expand Prodrill’s resource offering. According to the Energy Voice, the acquisition is expected to result in a 30% increase in turnover for Zenith.
