UK – Turnover up at Beaver Management Services

26 January 2018

Billingham-based recruitment firm Beaver Management Services reported turnover of £82.7 million for the year to May 2017, an increase of 37% from 60.1 million reported in the previous year.

The firm, which is a member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, focuses on the building services, construction, rail and engineering industries throughout the UK. It offers both temporary and permanent recruitment solutions from a single worker to a complete project team.

According to Insider Media, the company also posted a pre-tax profit of £2.71 million having made a loss of £37,151 in 2016. The company said it had "sought to expand" on its offering by supplying workers in different disciplines such as rail and manufacturing.

"This has resulted in new customers adding to our core business and existing customers taking advantage of other services," the company stated. "While the number of temporary workers has been level year-on-year, our strategy has been to place workers in industries and sectors where the margins are maintained.”

"Permanent recruitment is more cyclical than temporary staffing and the exposure of the BMSL group to permanent staffing is limited as nearly all of its recruitment revenue is generated from temporary recruitment,” the company stated.
