UK – REC launches toolkit for recruiters to promote the industry

28 June 2016

The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has launched a new toolkit to help recruiters champion their profession.

More than 1,300 recruitment businesses will be provided with the ‘Client and candidate attraction toolkit’ containing resources to help them spread the word about the impact they make on individuals, businesses and on the labour market as a whole. Targeted primarily at small firms, the toolkit aims to enable recruiters to raise the profile of their business, while also helping to improve the reputation of the wider industry.

“Recruiters transform lives - we want REC members to shout about the difference they make on a daily basis so that the industry gets the recognition it deserves,” Kevin Green, REC Chief Executive, said. “This toolkit has been designed to help recruiters deliver that message to candidates and clients.”

The toolkit has been produced as part of the REC’s ‘Jobs transform lives’ initiative launched in 2015 to proactively promote the social and economic value of the recruitment industry.

“We have won the economic argument that a dynamic and responsive recruitment industry is a critical component in creating the best jobs market in the world,” Green said. “Our initiative is about taking the next step and demonstrating the positive impact the industry has on individuals and businesses. That means talking collectively about the good things the recruitment industry does so that recruitment is recognised as a true profession.”
