UK – REC elects Vice-Chair of council

17 June 2016

Talent Acquisition Director at Fidelis Partners Jacqueline Hilton has been elected Vice-Chair of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) council.

Hilton has worked in the recruitment industry for 20 years, including 14 years in a senior leadership role. Hilton has also been a member of the REC council since 2011, has been a member of the REC’s Professional Standards Committee (PSC) since 2013, and has been Vice-Chair of the PSC since March 2015.

“As a long-time supporter and active member of the REC I’m delighted to take up this position so that I can help our professional body achieve even more,” Hilton said. “The REC plays a vital role in driving up standards and professionalism in recruitment and has an exciting vision for our industry. I’m looking forward to being a part of the REC’s efforts to champion all that’s good about recruitment.”

“The REC has worked with Jacqueline for a long time and she is a proven ambassador for the industry,” REC Chief Executive Kevin Green said. “Jacqueline has already given a huge amount of time to our Professional Standards Committee and it’s clear that she understands the importance of ethical and professional recruitment to the overall standing of our industry. Jobs transform lives and we want recruitment to be recognised for the value it brings to individuals, businesses and the wider economy. As Vice-Chair Jacqueline will play an important role in helping us achieve that goal.”

The election was the first act of the new REC council, following the appointment of six non-executive directors at the organisation’s AGM on Wednesday.
