UK-based recruitment agency Pertemps Network reported turnover of £805.4 million for the full year to 31 December 2017, an increase of 8.4% from last year’s £743 million.

According to Insider Media, a mix of acquisitions and organic growth helped boost the company’s revenue growth.

The group's pre-tax profits fell from £13.8 million to £5 million during the same period. Gross margin decreased from 16.8% to 15.9% which it said was a "reflection of a change in mix of permanent and temporary fee income, competitive pressures and the mix of contract and non-contract business clients".

In 2017, Pertemps invested in ISE Partners, a company that specialises in the placement of secretarial, office support, public relations and communications professionals into companies operating in the financial services, investment and professional services sectors. The group also invested in Rapier Employment, a specialist supplier of workforce solutions to the transport and warehousing sector.

"The group is actively seeking acquisitions and is growing its existing businesses organically,” Pertemps stated. "The group is investing time and effort in both long-term contract work and work with its large number of SME clients.

"Expansion of the group will remain focussed in the UK for the foreseeable future but may include overseas activities in the short to medium term,” Pertemps stated.
