UK – N-Trust Care acquires PCB Care

28 June 2017

West Midlands-based specialist care industry recruiter and training provider N-Trust Care Services has acquired Birmingham-based staffing provider PCB Care with the aim of expanding its care sector and geographic capabilities.

N-Trust, led by founder and managing director John Coyne and majority shareholders Gary Dewhurst and Mark Roberts will now undertake a four-month strategic review of PCB to support its immediate investment and acquisition plans and position the company for future growth.

The move to acquire the company, which has offices in Coventry, Birmingham and Barnet, has created a group with a combined £6 million turnover and 40 staff.

PCB was founded by Rosalind Payne in 1986, and functions as a staffing provider for the specialist social care, child care, social work and home care sectors and provides temporary, contract, interim and permanent staff to the industry.

Payne will remain with the business as chairman with operations director, Gill Forward, responsible for PCB’s day-to-day activities.

"N-Trust and PCB have significant synergies as well as distinctive services, which will enable us to deliver a more comprehensive offering to the UK care sectors,” John Coyne, managing director of N-Trust, said. “Both businesses are well-established in their respective markets and as a combined group of companies we will further build upon their success."

“This is a transformational deal for N-Trust, which is the next stage of our planned growth of the business that will include further acquisitions and investments,” Dewhurst said.

N-Trust states that it provides four distinct, specialist services to the wider Health and Social Care communities including permanent placement, personal care services, temporary staff and training.

No further financial details of the transaction were disclosed.
