The Board of Nestor Healthcare Group Plc has announced the appointment of John Ivers as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 1 July 2010. John Rennocks, who has been acting Chief Executive since April 2008, will revert to the role of non-executive Chairman from the same date.
John Ivers joined Nestor in October 2007 and is currently Managing Director of its Social Care business. In this role he has been instrumental in rebuilding and strengthening this business's market position, quality of operation and profitability.
Prior to joining Nestor, John was Managing Director at DHL Global Mail, where he gained considerable experience in running high quality services across a large multi-site network.
His appointment as Chief Executive follows a formal recruitment exercise commissioned by the Nomination Committee of the Board, using external advisors and involving both internal and external candidates.
