20 June 2017

Jaguar Land Rover is planning to hire 5,000 new recruits in the UK over the next year, reports the Guardian. The company, owned by India’s Tata Motors, said that more than 1,000 of the new 5,000 engineering recruits would be electronic and software engineers. The remaining jobs will include manufacturing positions, the majority of them being based in the UK.

Jaguar Land Rover is the UK’s biggest manufacturer and one of the country’s biggest exporters.  Jaguar Land Rover also announced that it would be working with virtual rock band, Gorillaz, to recruit the next generation of world-class electronics and software engineering talent with a code-breaking challenge found in the Gorillaz app.
