UK – Interserve Chairman to step down (Sky News)

19 June 2019

Sky News reports Interserve chairman Glyn Barker is preparing to step down following a deal that saw the outsourcing firm taken over by a consortium of its lenders. The company, which entered administration in March 2019, is now working with executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles to find a successor. Barker was appointed as Interserve chairman in March 2016 and has previously held several senior roles in Aviva and Berkeley Holdings and had a 35-year career at Pricewaterhouse Cooper. Interserve's new owners have received interest for parts of its business, including its support services division, which accounts for the bulk of the group's 40,000-strong UK workforce.
