Impellam Group (IPEL: LSE) last week acquired UK-headquartered healthcare staffing solutions firm Global Group. It is understood that the new acquisition will be aligned with Impellam subsidiary Medacs Healthcare.   

Established in 2002 the company provides permanent and locum medical staffing solutions, managed services, and healthcare advisory to clients and doctors around the world.

Justyn Randall, former CEO of Global Group, will remain with the business and lead the company’s Australasian operations.

Global Group includes medical recruitment companies Global Medics and Doctors on Call, which provide permanent and temporary positions in both the public and private sectors.

Through its Litmus platform the company also provides Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), delivering web-based Multi-Vendor, Managed Services, and Neutral Vendor Solutions.

The company’s Global Medical Job Board also allows doctors to view and apply for permanent and locum positions in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

According to law firm Shoosmiths, which advised the sellers on the disposal of Global Group, the company was acquired for circa £37 million.
