UK – Hanover Search Group acquires US-based executive search firm Opus

25 November 2016

London-based executive search firm Hanover Search Group has announced the acquisition of US-based Opus Executive Search.

Opus managing director Anthony Pitt will operate in partnership with Hanover as the US Managing Director. Pitt previously worked with Hanover Search Group as a senior consultant.

According to Hanover Search Group, the new group will aim to be the leading search firm within the US Wealth Management arena and will work alongside Hanover Search’s existing business in the Insurance and Asset Management sectors.

“I am immensely excited to be working with Antony again to help him grow Opus into the leading Wealth Management business in the US,” James Emmett, HSG Group CEO, said. “I am convinced that with the established HSG operating model and cross-selling opportunities we will quickly be able to establish a market leading platform in the US.”

“I am delighted to be teaming up with James and the entire Hanover team again,” Antony Pitt, Opus Managing Director, said. “I was one of the first employees of Hanover Search Group when it launched in London back in 1996, so it does feel a little like ‘coming home’. This partnership will help us grow the Opus brand here in the USA.”

Further details of the transaction were not disclosed.
