UK – HCL wins NHS agreement

30 April 2013

UK recruiter Healthcare Locums (HLO:LSE) has won an agreement with NHS Professionals (NHSP) to supply staff to Tameside, Stockport, CMFT, UHSM and Salford hospitals. The firm’s Nursing brand will be the tier one preferred supplier to the hospitals in Manchester, filling nursing roles across all grades and specialties.

The agreement, tabled earlier this month, was secured by HCL Nursing after a competitive tender process. HCL Nursing managing director, Helen Rudanec, said the firm will deliver cost saving efficiencies without compromising patient safety.

“We recognise the challenges hospitals face – in this partnership we look to deliver saving objectives whilst continuing to ensure the correct balance between cost efficiencies, compliance and patient care,” she said.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to demonstrate our ability to volume fill posts with quality staff, and we are looking forward to offering these employment opportunities to our candidates in the north west of England.”

Specialties include RNs, RMNs, midwives, critical care nurses – NICU, PICU ITU and A&E, paediatric nurses, anaesthetic nurses, community nurses, community healthcare workers, theatre scrubs and healthcare assistants.

Last week, the jointly-held investment vehicle of HCL majority owners, Angel Acquisitions, said it had waived all conditions to its takeover bid for the staffing company, declaring the offer fully unconditional. HCL also plans to delist its shares from the London Stock Exchange before it implements an operational and financial restructuring process.
