Interest in UK banking jobs from foreign candidates has dropped by 12% since 2015, with Brexit seen as largely to blame for the falling interest, reports City A.M. citing data from jobs site Indeed. Interest in UK financial jobs fell most sharply among candidates from Europe at the end of 2015, however while interest from EU countries has stopped falling, non-EU candidate interest has dropped since the middle of 2018. Despite the decline in interest, the financial sector still attracts foreign interest. For the average UK vacancy advertised on Indeed, 3% of interest comes from foreign-based candidates. For financial sector jobs, 12.9% of interest comes from talent overseas.
