Sopra Steria Recruitment, a UK-based staffing company, announced that it has recently been reappointed by Northumbrian Water as Master Vendor for the supply of IS Contractor Resources.

Northumbrian Water supplies 2.7 million customers in the North East with both water and sewerage services, trading as Northumbrian Water, and 1.8 million customers in the South East with water services, trading as Essex & Suffolk Water.

Sopra had provided contract and permanent IT staff to the organisation under a framework agreement originally granted in 2013. Under the previous agreement, Sopra delivered 100% of all contract and temporary IT resources, exceeded agreed cost savings and won Northumbrian Water’s ‘Supplier of the Year’ award in 2016.

Under the new agreement, Sopra will provide contractors through an MSP model for a period of three years, with an option to extend for a further three years, from 1 January 2019.
