Challenge Group, a UK-based logistics recruitment and distribution company acquired Surrey-based TRG Logistics.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The deal will see the two companies merge to become Challenge TRG Group, with current TRG CEO, Nick Gordon, and TRG managing director, Steve Imber, continuing in their roles, as well as becoming shareholders in the newly-formed business.

TRG specialises in providing temporary, contract and permanent HGV drivers and logistics staff to blue chip clients.

The newly formed Challenge TRG Group which will have a combined turnover of £120 million, and will collectively employ approximately 4,000 temporary workers and 150 permanent employees, and will continue to operate from two headquarter sites in the north and south – Wigan, Greater Manchester (Challenge) and Banstead, Surrey (TRG) alongside its regional hub structure.
