UK – Berry Recruitment Group reports turnover increase in 2017

03 April 2018

St. Albans-based staffing firm Berry Recruitment Group announced a turnover of £65 million for the full year 2017, up £3 million on the previous year.

The group also recorded an increased gross profit of approximately £13 million, steady from last year. However, EBITDA stood at £1.75 million, down from £1.9 million recorded last year.

Last year, Berry Recruitment acquired Kent-based Joy Recruitment. The company specialises in the construction, white collar, commercial and recruitment-to-recruitment sectors.

Berry Recruitment operates from 36 locations across England and Wales and anticipates continued strong growth through 2018 with figures showing it is already ahead of budget. Its brands include Berry Recruitment, Wild Recruitment, Express Rail Services and Wild Berry Associates.

Chairman Tony Berry commented, “Our turnover has more than doubled in the last six years and we are planning further significant growth this year and already we are recording profits above targeted levels. The demand for our services continues to increase and the job market remains buoyant.”
