UK — Anne Riley to lead Penna’s recruitment marketing and communications business

28 July 2009

Penna has announced the appointment of Anne Riley as managing director of Penna's recruitment marketing and communications business, which includes Penna Barkers, Penna TCS and Penna Creative Communications.

Currently MD of Penna Creative Communications, Anne has gained extensive experience in the industry. Formerly chief executive of Austin Knight UK and MD of Bartlett Merton, she led the successful merger of Bartlett and Scott Edgar and ran the merged Bartlett Scott Edgar business for four years until its integration into TMP.
In 2005 she was asked to start a sixth business for Penna, to complement its existing offering of executive recruitment, executive interim, leadership and performance consulting, board and executive coaching, and career transition.

Penna CEO Gary Browning commented: "I am delighted that Anne has accepted this new role and is excited by the challenges and opportunities it presents. We have an initial period of intense activity to establish the structure and culture of the new business. With Anne's experience and the support of a great team, we are looking forward to providing our clients with high-quality service and market-leading innovation."

John Tarrant has left the business on Friday by mutual consent.
