According to the latest figures published by the Dutch Association of Temporary Employment Agencies (ABU) staffing revenues decreased by 20% in August 2009 compared to the same period in 2008. This is a significantly smaller decline than in the previous month.
In the medical sector the number of working hours decreased by 22% whilst turnover fell only by 12%.
In the administrative sector working hours fell by 21% whilst turnover fell by 17%. The industrial sector showed a decline in working hours of 22% over the same period last year. Revenues decreased by 23%.
In the technical sector the number of working hours fell by 24%. Revenues were down by 22%.
