Switzerland – Temporary staffing market positive in April

20 May 2016

The number of temporary workers in Switzerland increased by 6.1% in April compared to the previous month and grew 0.5% compared to the same period last year, according to the latest figures from Swiss Staffing, the Swiss Federation of Staffing Companies.

However, for the first four months of this year, the swisstemptrend still indicates a stagnation compared to last year with growth at 0.0%.

The swisstemptrend isn’t the only positive indicator of the Swiss private economy. In April the Business Cycle Research (KOF) indicator rose for the third consecutive time. The regions of Zurich, Switzerland, Central and Plateau area have all started the year well. However, eastern Switzerland has faced stagnation and western Switzerland had to take into account new cyclical setbacks, according to the swisstemptrend.
