The Michael Page Swiss Job Index recorded an increase in advertised jobs of 12.1% in May 2018 when compared to the same period last year.
On a month-to-month basis, the Michael Page Swiss Job Index recorded a 2.3% increase in May.
Advertised jobs in the German-speaking region, which accounts for 9 out of 10 advertised jobs, grew by 2.1% in May, when compared to the previous month. Advertised jobs in the Swiss Romande grew at 3.6%, month-to-month.
According to the Michael Page Swiss Job Index, demand for sales specialists grew by 11.3% (April 2018 - May 2018). This is the highest increase for this period in this category, since the Swiss Job Index began in 2012. Year-on-year growth

"The fact that companies are investing in sales roles is a sure sign of their confidence in the economy as they see the growth in demand" Nicolai Mikkelsen, Executive Director, Michael Page, said.
The Mid region (BE, FR, JU, NE, SO) recorded the greatest regional monthly growth of 5.7%.
