Switzerland – Job ads up 23% in April: Michael Page Swiss Job Index

25 April 2018

The Michael Page Swiss Job Index recorded an increased in advertised jobs of 23.3% in April 2018 when compared to the same period last year.

Across Switzerland monthly growth was 1.2% in April. Advertised jobs in the entire German-speaking region, which account for 9 out of 10 advertised jobs, grew by 1.6% in April. Meanwhile, advertised jobs in Swiss Romande decreased by -0.6%, month-on-month.

“The end of the first quarter, along with one-off policy measures such as GDPR, always raise the demand for control, planning and related IT specialists,” Nicolai Mikkelsen, Executive Director, Michael Page, said. “This tends to obscure the strong and positive ongoing investment that companies are making in sales and business development roles.”
