Sweden – Veteranpoolen first-quarter revenue up but profits down

Veteranpoolen AB (VPAB B:AKT), a Swedish firm that offers household services and staffing services and claims to be Sweden's largest employer for retirees, reported net sales today of SEK 64.6 million (€5.9 million) for the first quarter ended 31 March 2019, an increase of 19.2% when compared to the previous year.

"The weak earnings trend is a consequence of increased investments for future growth, investments for improved efficiency and increased profitability for local franchisees", CEO Mats Claesson said.

Veteranpoolen was founded in 2007 by Ingrid Erlandsson. The company specialises in employing retirees and offers staffing services for property management, office services, finance/administration, cleaning, sales & customer service, warehousing & logistics throughout Sweden.

As of last trade, Veteranpoolen share price was SEK 25.20 (€2.34), down 5.97% on the day. Based on its current share price, the company has a market value of SEK 488.87 million (€45.3 million).
