Swedish staffing company SJR in Scandinavia (SJRB: SS) reported revenue for the first quarter ending 31 March 2016 of SEK 84.7 million (€9.1 million), an increase of 0.7% compared with SEK 84.1 million (€9.0 million) during the same period last year.

“In 2015, the staffing industry increased by 15%, reaching its highest sales ever,” Per Ogunro, Chief Executive Officer of SJR in Scandinavia, said. “In the fourth quarter sales increased by 17%. The biggest growth was achieved in 2015 in the Southern and Western Sweden with over 30% growth. Growth in Stockholm was lower and amounted to just under 8%.”
“For SJR, sales increased by 10% in the year 2015. Growth was higher in southern Sweden and Western Sweden than in Stockholm. During the first quarter of 2016, growth was limited in SJR and amounted to 0.7%. Operating margin increased to 10.4%, mainly due to the share of recruitment increased to 13% (12%) of total sales. “
SJR in Scandinavia primarily focuses on the economic, banking, and financial sectors. The company, through its consulting business, works in cooperation with a number of banking and financial institutions in Sweden, as well as with the finance and accounting departments of a number of Swedish companies.
Looking forward, Ogunro said: “We are now experiencing a boom in the staffing industry and I believe that the future looks bright for SJR.”
In trading today, SJR in Scandinavia AB traded at SEK 101.00 (€10.80), down 1.94% on the day and 11.29% above the 52 week low of SEK 90.75(€9.71) set on 24 August 2015. Based on its current share price, the company has a market value of SEK 360.50 million (€38.5 million).
