Sweden – Poolia reports positive Q3 revenue

Swedish staffing firm Poolia (POOLB: SS) announced revenue for the third quarter ending 30 September 2016 of SEK 183.6 million (€18.8 million), an increase of 3.3% compared with SEK 177.7 million (€18.9 million) during the same period last year.

Poolia Sweden reported restructuring costs of SEK 1.7 (€0.1 million), compared to SEK 0.2 million (€0.0 million) last year.

Net income from discontinued operations during the third quarter was SEK -0.2 million (0.0 last year). Revenue for the nine months ended 30 September 2016 amounted to SEK 585.8 (€59.9 million), an increase of 7.1% compared to 546.9 million (€58.3 million).

“Growth in the quarter was positive but not yet fully satisfactory,” Poolia CEO Morten Werner said. “The third quarter is normally the industry and Poolia's weakest due to high and unplanned vacation openings in both Finland and Sweden. In Germany holiday leave more evenly spread throughout the year.”

During the first three quarters Poolia's revenue increased by 7.1% and operating profit by 56% compared with 2015,” Werner said. “We achieve this improvement even though we still are in our realignment program, which began nearly three years ago. It is expected to be completed in 2017.”

In trading today, Poolia AB (POOL B:STO) set a new 52-week high during Monday's trading session when it reached SEK 16.80 (€1.72), down 1.23% on the day. Over this period, the share price is up 61.00%. Based on its current share price the company has a market value of SEK 216.1 million (€22.1 million).
