Sweden – NGS Group Q2 revenue growth boosted by acquisitions

NGS Group (NGS: SS), the Swedish healthcare and education staffing firm, reported revenue for the second quarter ending 30 June 2017 of SEK 168.1 million (€17.5 million), an increase of 7.9% compared with the same period last year.

NGS Group made a number of recent acquisitions that have helped to boost results. In March 2017, the group acquired consulting firm Socionomuthyrning i Sverige AB (Social Work Rentals). The agreement was concluded on 28 March 2017 and the shares were taken on 2 May 2017. The company's operations are reported in the NGS Group's financial reporting as of 2 May 2017.

In June, it was announced that NGS had also acquired SOURCE Executive Recruitment Sweden AB, an executive search firm, for SEK 30 million (€3.0 million) in cash as well as recruitment firm Klona Rekrytering AB for SEK 3 million (€0.3 million). Both companies became part of the group’s Leadership segment when they were acquired. The companies' operations were added in the company’s Group's financial reporting as of 1 June 2017.

“With our new acquisitions with us in the next quarter, I look forward to integrating and developing these together with the other NGS businesses, thus continuing to create the conditions for growth and profitability for our group according to our goals and our strategy,” Ingrid Nordlund, Managing Director of NGS Group said.

As of 2017, a change in segment reporting has been carried out in line with NGS's strategy. The new segment report consists of two segments, Crew (Care and School) and Lead Supply, which includes NGS Group business in the field of economics, where they are employed in recruitment and interim solutions for managers and specialists. The change has been made to better reflect NGS's business today and onwards.

Net sales break down by 86% for the Crew segment and 14% for the Leadership segment.

In trading today NGS Group AB traded at SEK 49.00 (€5.10), down 6.67% on the day and 17.37% above the 52 week low of SEK 41.75 (€4.35) set on 15 September 2016. Based on its current share price the company has a market value of SEK 473.70 million (€49.3 million).
