Spain – More than half of workers dissatisfied with hours

16 December 2016

According to a survey from Randstad on working time in Spain, 52% of employees are dissatisfied with their schedule and want more or fewer hours than they currently work.

The vast majority of workers dissatisfied with working hours would prefer to work fewer hours. Among the main reasons for shorter hours, workers include the ability to have free time (69%) and to have better work-life balance (65%).

Luis Perez, director of Institutional Relations at Randstad Spain, explained that one of the problems identified in the labour market is its low flexibility.  "Professionals need to distribute their workday in a more appropriate manner that suits their lifestyle.”
