08 January 2018

More than half, or 64%, of workers in Spain, are confident about maintaining their job during the next six months, according to data from Randstad Spain.

Randstad’s research states that more than 11.4 million employed people trust to continue working in their current job during the next six months in Spain.

The research, using data obtained during the fourth quarter of 2017,  showed that the rate of professionals showing confidence in maintaining their employment is 64%, 1% higher than the previous quarter and 3% less than during the same period of 2016.

The report also found that 71% of professionals over 45 years of age are confident that they will continue in their current employment during the next six months. and 59% of professionals under 25 believe feel the same way.

Meanwhile, 60% of professionals surveyed affirm that they expect to be promoted in their job within the next six months. This is 6% higher more than the figure recorded the previous quarter, although at the same level as a year ago.

Randstad states that economic recovery in Spain as well as the lowering of the unemployment rate are some of the reasons why professionals believe that their employment situation will improve in 2018.
