Barcelona-based human cloud platform Glovo announced today that it has acquired Poland’s largest food delivery platform, Pizza Portal, reports EU-Startups. The deal is valued at EUR30 million, plus a EUR5 million earn-out. Glovo, which delivers everything from food to groceries and pharmaceutical items, is expanding its presence in Europe, boosted by a Series D funding injection of EUR150 million in April 2019. Pizza Portal was founded in 2010 and based in Łódź, Poland. The platform has approximately two million customers, and brings together offers from 4,000 restaurants in over 300 cities across Poland. The startup saw its business almost double in 2018.
