Spain – ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Cyber Monday’ set to generate over 30,000 temp contracts: Randstad

Black Friday and Cyber ​​Monday will generate approximately 32,050 contracts in Spain, an increase of 4.8% when compared to 2018, when 30,577 contracts were signed, according to research from Randstad Spain.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday will take place on Friday 29 November 2019 and Monday 2 December 2019, respectively.

This year's contracts will be distributed at 57.1% in the logistics and transport sector, while the remaining 42.9% will be produced in commerce.

With regard to the logistics sector, the positions that will be in most demand will be those of packers, forklifts, porters and transporters, among others

Randstad added that commerce will also need professionals to reinforce their workforce in the face of increasing consumers.

By provinces, Randstad reported that Segovia saw the biggest increase with 14.8% compared to last year, followed by Teruel, with 13.6%, and Ourense, with 11.1%.

Randstad estimates that this year's Christmas campaign will once again break hiring records, signing more than 450,000 contracts for the first time in history.
