Spain – Asempleo expects 600,000 more agency workers before end of 2017 (ABC.es)

04 October 2017

The Association of Employment Agencies and Temporary Employment (Asempleo) in Spain has said that it is “not unreasonable” to think that the year will end with 600,000 more agency workers reports ABC.es. Asempleo added that the 600,000 new workers will bring the total to 18.5 million in total. Asempleo also said that temporary employment agencies in Spain have been consolidated "as part of the solution to unemployment in Spain and to continue to set the pace of job creation." Asempleo also highlighted the need to generate "new opportunities for groups increasingly displaced from the labor market" such as young people, the long-term unemployed and high structural unemployment.
