Proman announces acquisition of Iziwork following court decision and interest in deal from Adecco

20 October 2023

French staffing firm Proman announced it has acquired French digital temporary staffing platform Iziwork.

It comes after Iziwork had entered into a receivership due to financial difficulties. At the same time both Proman and the Adecco had shown interest in a takeover.

On 19 October, the Nanterre Commercial Court validated the takeover of Iziwork by the Proman Group which was in competition with Adecco for the acquisition.

Proman said its offer was ‘judged to be better’ with a total resumption of Iziwork activities and staff.

The two companies will combine their forces to create a champion of temporary work and recruitment that is both physical and digital.

Proman said the deal will enable Iziwork to quickly deploy its platform in the 16 countries, particularly across Europe and North America, where the group is currently active.

Roland Gomez, President of Proman, said, “We are very happy with this decision. The Iziwork project was really close to our hearts and this is excellent news. This allows Proman to have a 100% digital solution to offer to our clients and temporary employees but also to give momentum to the group by setting a first foot in Italy, a market that we have been targeting for several months. We are delighted for our teams and for those of Iziwork to expand the family and provide it with an efficient technological and digital tool. Proman will provide Iziwork with the means, both strategic and financial, to deploy on a large scale in Europe and North America.”

Alexandre Dardy, founder of Iziwork, said, “This is the decision we have all been waiting for. The Proman offer was widely desired by our teams because it was the only one to take into account the added value of our technological tool in which we strongly believe but also the consideration and respect of all the French and Italian teams which made it possible for Iziwork to reach €250 million in five years.

“Now, we will rely on the strengths of this great company but also on its common sense and its business expertise to achieve our growth and profitability objectives. We share the same agility and entrepreneurial spirit so I am convinced that we will go very far,” Dardy added.

Proman first announced its plans to acquire Iziwork in September.
