Proman 2023 revenue rises amid acquisitions

27 February 2024

Proman, the privately-owned staffing firm based in Manosque, France, reported revenue rose 9.85% in 2023 to nearly €4.11 billion (US$4.53 billion). The company, which ranks as 14th-largest in the world, reported organic growth across its markets drove the increase as well as several acquisitions in the past year.

In 2023, Proman completed several acquisitions. Notably it acquired Peopleshare, a US-based provider of clerical and light industrial staffing, in 2023. The deal gave Proman 105 office in the US across 18 states.

Proman also acquired a stake in Aksis Moovéus, France's leading network specialising in career transition support to round out its human resources services offering.

The group also acquired iziwork, a digital temporary employment company operating in France and Italy, with over 7,000 temporary employees at work every day. The deal came after Iziwork had entered into a receivership due to financial difficulties. Proman and the Adecco Group had both shown interest in a takeover.

Proman highlighted that its performance was achieved against a backdrop of stagnant economic growth, a decline in the temporary employment market and a reversal in the unemployment curve.

Roland Gomez, President of Proman, said, “Beyond the figures, Proman's ambition has been the same since day one: to grow while retaining our family DNA, to offer the best service to the companies that place their trust in us, and to find a job for those who don't have one.  Once again this year, our 5,000 employees have done a remarkable job in helping the group achieve growth of 9.85%.”

Proman operates in 17 countries and aims to continue its rapid expansion in the coming years by maintaining its strategy of organic and external growth.

The group's objective is to achieve sales of €6 billion by 2025, while continuing to be the key player in the human resources sector.

Currently, the company has more than 1,000 branches in 17 countries and employs more than 100,000 temporary workers each day including in the manufacturing, construction and logistics sectors.
