03 October 2013

Polish contract, RPO, and personal outsourcing company Work Service has announced the acquisition of a second recruitment firm, following news yesterday that they have bought Antal International’s Polish business.

In the coming months, Work Service will complete its takeover of Work Express for a purchase price of PLN 42 million (€ 9.95 million). For this sum Work Service will acquire an 80% stake in the company, which, according to the Warsaw Business Journal (WBJ) is the Polish market leader in overseas employment.

Work Service will also retain the right to purchase the remaining 20% in the coming year to complete the takeover.

Work Service CEO Tomasz Hanczarek is quoted by the WBJ as saying: “This is just the beginning of our ambitious Central and Eastern Europe expansion plans. We are fulfilling a promise made in January that we will grow quickly and dynamically.”

Work Express is an HR advisory and temporary employment agency. The company’s main office is based in Katowice and it has branches in Krakow, Poznan, and Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
