Poland – Work Service CEO resigns

Work Service Capital Group (WSE:WSE) the Polish staffing, RPO, and outsourcing company announced that Maciej Witucki has resigned from his role as CEO with effect from 28 February 2019.

The company stated that Witucki, who is also a member of the Management Board, did not indicate the reason for the resignation.

Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita reported that Witucki said he will pursue other interests. Furthermore, Iwona Szmitkowska, Vice President of the Management Board will take over Witucki’s role on the Board.

Work Service also announced separately that Tomasz Ślęzak, Vice President of the Management Board of Work Service S.A, also resigned, with effect from 24 January. No further details of his resignation were announced.

Witucki joined the Management Board in 2013 and was appointed as CEO in 2016. Prior to that he was president of telecommunications company Orange Polska.

Ślęzak was appointed as Vice President of the Management Board of Work Service S.A. in May 2013. He was responsible for the supervision of the group’s foreign companies in Central and Eastern Europe. 

In November 2018 Work Service announced that it has completed the sale of all shares in its subsidiary Exact Systems.

The company reported revenue of PLN 1.57 billion (€365.5 million) for the first nine months of 2018, an increase of 0.6% compared with the same period last year.
