Resource Solutions has appointed Nick Dunnett as Chief Operating Officer, a new executive position within Resource Solutions. Dunnett has worked within the Robert Walters Group for over 19 years, having most recently been Managing Director of Robert Walters Germany and Switzerland, and prior to that running the Robert Walters’ South Africa and London contract operations. n his new role, Dunnett will focus on the continuous delivery of operational excellence through the management of Resource Solutions’ Business Transformation and Global Service Centre functions.

Randstad announces that its Supervisory Board will propose the nomination of René Steenvoorden as member of the Executive Board with the responsibilities for Digital and IT. The proposed nomination will be subject to shareholder approval at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 24 March 2020. Randstad said the role of Chief Digital Officer is empowered by Steenvoorden’s appointment to the Executive Board. At Randstad, René Steenvoorden founded the Digital Factory and has been instrumental in accelerating Randstad’s global digital and IT activities.

Airswift announced that it has appointed Ryan Carroll as Regional Director, Australia & New Zealand, where he will be based in Brisbane and will be responsible for all in-country operations. Carroll has four years’ recruitment experience in Australia across industries such as civil engineering, construction and mining, and over six years’ experience within the wider APAC region, building business lines in construction, life sciences and engineering.

In Singapore, Airswift also announced that Mark van Rooijen joins the regional leadership team as Finance Director to oversee Airswift’s financial growth strategy. He has workedfor over 15 years in the staffing industry. For four of these he was the CFO of Randstad for South East Asia and was responsible for strategic planning and execution in the region. The announcement of the two senior hires comes as Airswift builds upon its recent successes in the APAC region and follow 20% year-on-year growth for the company.

Nakama announced this week that the company’s finance director, Patrick Meehan, and non-executive director, Andrea Williams, will step down from the Board following the conclusion of the company’s Annual General Meeting to be held on 17 October 2019 to focus on other business interests. Following their departure, the Company’s Board will comprise of Tim Sheffield, Chairman; Rob Thesiger, Chief Executive; and Michael Cleland, independent non-executive director.

Fircroft has appointed Nicola Ferraby as Head of HR Operations. This role supports the company vision in providing best in class workforce solutions to the global technical engineering industries. She previously headed up HR Operations for Marks & Spencer and and more recently was International Head of Recruitment at StepStone. A Fellow of the CIPD, Ferraby will work with Fircroft’s HR team to shape and deliver the HR strategy; sharing HR best practice, partnering with business stakeholders and supporting the organisation to become an employer of choice.

Digital staffing app, Rota, has announced the appointment of its new Fulfilment and Engagement Manager, Joe Holdsworth. The newly created role is to ensure that the fulfilment of shifts and member quality is conducive with Rota’s rapid growth, which is now supplying to over 1,000 hospitality partners with temporary talent in six UK cities. Holdsworth has been appointed at Rota’s Head Office in London, bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience in hospitality to engage and motivate Rota’s flexible workforce, ensuring their partners are provided with not only highly skilled talent, but people who also love the work that they do. He has more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
