ManpowerGroup Italia has appointed Riccardo Barberis as its new Managing Director. Barberis succeeds Stefano Scabbio in the role. Barberis has held several positions within Manpower Group including CEO in ManpowerGroup Brasil. In the last two years, Barberis has been responsible for the development of the Region of Eastern European markets for all the group's brands.

Executive search firm ZRG Partners has announced that Carren Shi has joined as a Managing Director and Country Head of China to help expand ZRG’s coverage in the region. Prior to joining ZRG Partners, Carren worked at Korn Ferry in China and also had run her own boutique firm. ZRG Partners added that she brings to the role 20 years of valuable local market business experience, with over 12 years in executive search. Carren also has experience in the consumer and life sciences sector.

Heidrick & Struggles, an executive search firm, announced that it has appointed Stephen McAlinden as its Regional Leader for Asia Pacific. McAlinden succeeds Steve Mullinjer in the role. Mullinjer will continue to pursue client work for the CEO & Board Practice globally. In this new role, McAlinden will lead 14 offices across Asia Pacific while continuing his client work as a partner focusing on corporate and investment banking. McAlinden first joined Heidrick & Struggles in 2009 as a Partner in the group’s financial services division in Hong Kong.

Heidrick & Struggles also announced the additions of Andreas Jaeger, partner, in Frankfurt and Vittorio Veltroni, principal, in Milan. Jaeger joins the Financial Services Practice to focus on investment banking, corporate finance, capital markets and private equity. Veltroni joins the firm's Global Technology and Services Practice, having formerly worked at Reply, an information technology consultancy.  He will advise on CEO, COO and board searches, as well as senior executive appointments both in digital and Internet of Things (IoT) industries.  

UK-based executive search firm CNA International has opened a new office in Hamburg, Germany. Marko Könönen will lead the new location serving as senior partner at CNA International Hamburg Germany. Könönen has over ten years’ experience in recruitment. His sector experience crosses manufacturing, especially within the packaging, chemical, engineering, interim solutions and HR industries.

UK-based Opus Talent Solutions Group has appointed Amy Golding as CEO. Golding joined the company as Managing Director in March 2017 and takes over as CEO from Opus founder Darren Ryemill. Ryemill will continue to be actively involved with the group whilst developing numerous brand new entrepreneurial opportunities and ventures. Prior to Opus, Amy worked for Deloitte and then as Personal Business Advisor to James Caan.
