Impellam Group announced that non-executive director Derek O'Neill has informed the Board of his intention to step down from his role with immediate effect. Derek has been with the company for three years and was appointed to the non-executive director role after Impellam's acquisition of technology recruitment firm Lorien Group. Derek also serves as Chairman for Marlowe Plc, a B2B critical asset maintenance business.

Kennedy Executive Search & Consulting, has named Carl Lens as managing director EMEA. Prior to this appointment, Carl was managing director for Europe. Carl is also co-founder and owner of Kennedy’s Dutch partner office Lens, an executive search firm based in Amsterdam. Before founding his firm, he was global head of healthcare for London-based recruitment firm Nicholson.

WilsonHCG, a global RPO provider, announced that it has appointed Phil Brakewell as Director, Executive Search, EMEA.  Phil has more than 14 years of talent acquisition leadership experience and most recently served as head of executive search for ResourceBank. Phil has also held consultant and resourcing leadership positions at Hitchenor Wakeford and Cornerstone Resourcing.

Polish recruitment firm Devire entered the Czech market by opening an office in Prague. The group appointed Martin Schneider as Country Manager and Tomas Surka as Managing Partner for the Czech Republic office. Tomas has held managerial positions for different recruitment firms including Adecco as a branch manager, Synergie as a regional director for Czech Republic and McROY Group as executive director for Central and Eastern Europe. Schneider served as Chief Recruitment Officer for the McROY Group in Czech Republic and as Head of Permanent Placement for Adecco Czech Republic.

Heidrick & Struggles has appointed Corinna Christophorou as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. Corinna joined Heidrick & Struggles in 2015 as Director of Market Development. She then held the role of VP, Europe & Africa. She has held senior leadership roles with global professional services firms.
