The Adecco Group has appointed Angelo Lo Vecchio as new Head of Eastern Europe, Middle East, North Africa (Eemena), reporting directly to Sergio Picarelli, Regional Head of Italy, Eemena. Lo Vecchio is currently current Managing Director Adecco Italia. He joined Adecco in 2001 as Branch Manager of the Horeca division, of which he later became Head of Operations, and then in 2009 he became Head of Operations North-East Lombardy until 2014. In October 2014, he served as Country Manager of the Adecco Group in India. According to Adecco, Lo Vecchio’s new role was created to accelerate the development and growth of 15 countries. The position of Managing Director Adecco Italia will be managed on an interim basis by Andrea Malacrida, Country Manager, The Adecco Group Italy.

Recruitment firm Hydrogen Group announced the appointment of Brett Rose as Managing Director for Australia. Brett began his recruitment career in the UK in 2004, focusing on recruiting finance professionals in corporate sectors. Rose’s job will be to expand Hydrogen’s Australia business and spearhead its future growth.

Executive search firm Pedersen & Partners has appointed Mark Paviour as country manager for the UK. Paviour joins Pedersen & Partners from the executive search firm Egon Zehnder, in which his career spanned some 24 years in the UK and the Middle East, culminating in his promotion to partner. Paviour served on the Global Financial Services Practice Group leadership team, ran the Asset/Wealth Management and Sovereign Wealth Fund practices and participated in the Global CFO Practice Group. “I look forward to working with my colleagues to build the Pedersen & Partners team and presence in the UK,” Paviour said.

Staffgroup, the parent company of Eurostaff and Earthstaff and part of the Cordant Group, has appointed Ildiko Elter as its Global CFO to be based at the Group’s Berlin headquarters. Ildiko previously worked at management consulting firm Ally Management Group and at Clinical Trial Consulting, a specialist life-sciences recruitment group. Stephen Herniman, Staffgroup’s current Finance Director who is based in London, will leave the business at the end of June 2018 after a handover period with Ildiko.

Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc., announced the appointment of Jimson Cheng as Regional Practice Managing Partner for the Healthcare and Life Sciences Practice in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Cheng has over 15 years of executive search and leadership consulting experience in the Asia Pacific healthcare industry. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles in July 2017, Cheng was the regional lead of the Life Sciences Practice for Egon Zehnder.

Phaidon International announced the opening of its new office in Berlin, Germany. Two brands will head the initial launch, DSJ Global and Glocomms. The office and region will be headed up by Paul Norman, Director for Germany, who joined the business in 2012.
