Norway – NetJobs sets up shop and appoints country manager

11 December 2013

Swedish job board NetJobs Group AB (NJOB) STO) announced today the establishment of their first office in Norway and the appointment of former Groupon Norway CEO Bredo Johansen to the position of Country Manager in Norway. This move is part of NetJobs’ growth strategy to create a physical presence in the markets in which it operates.

Niklas Eriksson, CEO of NetJobs Group, commented: “We see great potential in the Norwegian market and there are enormous benefits that come with a local office. In addition to that we will be able to work more closely with our customers and we will take a closer look to identify and understand market trends.”

“We are extremely happy that we managed to tie Bredo to us and believe that with his skills he can help us gain a greater market share in the Norwegian market,” Mr Eriksson concluded.

Mr Johansen added: “I see great potential in the Norwegian market. Our niche jobs sites; such as Helsestillinger.no and Pedagogjobb.no give clients a great chance to attract many qualified applicants. We also know that many jobs in construction, healthcare, and the restaurant industry are very attractive to Swedish job seekers as well.”

“With the headquarters in Sweden and a sales office in Norway it will allow us to communicate well with both markets,” Mr Johansen stated.

The company estimate that the Norwegian online recruitment market achieves annual revenue of approximately NOK 500 million (€59.3 million). The new office will be opened during December in Tonsberg, which is located outside Oslo. Efforts are currently underway to recruit local staff.
