Norway – ManpowerGroup wins national healthcare contract

21 January 2013

ManpowerGroup’s health division in Norway has won an important supplier contract, which will see the staffing company provide nurses, midwives and health assistants to Norwegian hospitals across the country.

The new national framework agreement with health authorities will run from 1 February for two years. The contract may then be extended for a further two years, the company said. It is the second time that Manpower entered the national framework agreement.

“We are very pleased that this agreement allows us to provide nurses and other healthcare professionals throughout the country,” said Manpower executive director, Thor Bendik Weider. He said that the health sector will be an “important priority” for the company in the future.

The recruiter has won the agreement with HINAS, a company responsible for coordinating public procurement on behalf of the Norwegian Health enterprises. Last week, HINAS also appointed rival company Proffice as a procurement supplier.
