Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) can potentially create about one million jobs and boost Nigeria’s GDP by 10%, if strategically harnessed, according to the Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu. AllAfrica reports that during the Minister’s speech at this year's Association of Outsourcing Professionals of Nigeria, Shittu said that such potentials can only be actualised through proper guidelines that would regulate the conduct of players and open-up the sub sector for business activities to flourish and he challenged organisations and foreign partners to collaborate and work out a strategic plan for the sustainable development of the BPO sector.
