Netherlands – YoungCapital turnover up 60% in 2017

18 January 2018

Dutch recruitment firm YoungCapital, which specialises in the recruitment of young talent, reported a record turnover of €325 million for the full year 2017, an increase of 60.1% compared to €203 million the previous year.

According to Staffing Industry Analysts, YoungCapital ranked number one the five fastest-growing firms in the Dutch staffing market.

YoungCapital stated that it is the seventh year in a row that they are growing faster than the market.

"If you compare our autonomous growth with the rest, we significantly outperform the market," Ineke Kooistra, CEO of YoungCapital, said. "We speak the language of the youngsters like no other, and see that they are coming to us en masse for a job or start-up position."

Kooistra added that last year YoungCapital helped 41,000 young talents work. While, the number of their employees rose to 1,000 people during 2017.

"In the coming year we want to grow at least 30% in turnover and adopt 300 new colleagues,” Kooistra said. “The growth should come, among other things, from the further expansion of the customer portfolio of both YoungCapital and its Professionals branch.”

“YoungCapital continues to expand internationally,” Kooistra said. "Our offices in Germany have good results. And Studentjob International, with which we are active in eight European countries, has experienced strong growth. We will continue that line in 2018.”

Kooistra added that in response to IT staffing shortages, the company will launch YoungCapital Academy in February, in which students will be trained as software developers. Furthermore, Kooistra added that YoungCapital has already invested heavily in the development of machine learning and will continue to do so in 2018.
