Netherlands — Temp workers hours, turnover up in third period

Hours worked by temporary workers rose by 11% and turnover grew by 13% in period three (weeks nine through 12) compared to the same period last year, according to the market developments report by the Dutch Federation of Private Employment Agencies (ABU). This period had an equal amount of working days compared to the same period last year, so no correction was applied.

Temporary workers in the administrative sector grew by 11% in hours worked and turnover grew 11% in comparison to the same period in 2015.

In the industrial sector, hours worked increased by 11% and turnover increased 14% compared to the same period last year.

Also, the amount of hours worked in the technical sector rose by 12% and turnover increased 17% compared to the same period last year.

Every four weeks, ABU members deliver their turnover and working hours to the research firm, TNS-NIPO, which, in turn, produces the ABU-Marktmonitor.
