Netherlands – Revenue in temporary employment sector up 12%

04 June 2018

First-quarter revenue in the Dutch temporary employment sector saw an increase of 12.1% when compared to the same period last year, according to Statistics Netherlands.

In addition to temporary employment agencies, employment agencies and personnel management also fall under the temporary employment sector.

For the second quarter of 2018, Statistics Netherlands expects to also see an increase in revenue, despite some challenges stemming from labour market shortages.

Meanwhile, Statistics Netherlands’ data also showed that revenue from business services rose by 7.5% in the first quarter of 2018 compared to the same quarter a year earlier. Revenue for cleaners and gardeners rose by 7.9% for the same period. IT services followed with 6.4% growth for the same period.
