Netherlands – Randstad to buy BMC

Randstad Holding N.V. announced today that it was buying BMC in the Netherlands as part of its strategy to expand into professional recruitment. The deal gives BMC an enterprise value of 65 million.

BMC has two main businesses, professional and consultancy. Its professionals business focuses on placements, secondments and freelancing services for mostly higher-educated public sector professionals. The consultancy business does research projects for the public sector and operates executive search, recruitment and human resources. In the twelve months to September 2016 achieved turnover of 102 million euros.

Randstad stated that its purchase of BMC would strengthen its position in the Dutch public sector.

The proposed acquisition is subject to approval by the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM).
