Netherlands – Online job vacancies increase in Q3

There were 31.7% more vacancies in the Netherlands posted in Q3 2016 than in the same quarter last year, according to figures from Jobfeed, the Big Data tool of Textkernel Jobs.

The data also showed that the number of jobs for college graduates increased by 21%. The number of jobs for less educated increased by 41%. Since late 2014, the proportion of jobs for college graduates fell from 51% to 43% in Q3 2016.

The northern region (Noord-Holland) had the most vacancies in Q3 2016, changing places with the south region, which had the highest number of vacancies last year.

The number of vacancies in the ICT sector is also growing more slowly than the other sectors and decreasing from 7.3% of the market share to 7.1% of all Dutch jobs. The highest sectors were the care and trade sectors.
